01/05/2008 - DC United Stars prove that we are TRUE ATHLETES!!!
This weekend our organization DC United Stars, would be traveling to Baltimore, Maryland to compete at the MD State Championships. This would be our only opportunity to qualify for the Battle at the Capitol National Championship. Taking our "FireStars" of JR2 and our "Shining Stars" of SR2 we knew we would be up against some of the most talented teams in the area. Here's how our diamonds did....
MD State Championship - 1/05/2008
Small Junior Level 2 - JR2 - 2nd place (bid to BATC)
Small Senior Level 2 - SR2 - 3rd place (bid to BATC)
Today was a day of odd karma. It began with two of our athletes (Renia Scales and Courtnee Smith) getting injured 20 seconds into the routine (one dislocated her growth plate in her leg, and the other fractured her elbow). Even though these athletes were seriously hurt and needed to be rushed to area hospitals after the performance, neither athlete stopped until the routine was finished. Just goes to show their determination to "strive to maintain a standard of excellence". Well even with all that, the diamonds of JR2 and SR2 still gave outstanding performances and truly represented our organization with pride. We'd like to thank all that came out to support our organization and wish you all the best. To my ladies, remember when people are watching......

11/17/2007 - DC United Stars "Build a Bear for the Season" Day was fun, fun. fun. fun!!!!!
As a new year of competition begins, we here at DC United All-Stars will be traveling on several out of town trips this season. We know that for some of our athletes this will be the first time away from home. So we decided to help those individuals have a sense of home at all times by building their very own COMPETITION BEAR to take along for the entire season!! To begin our day, each team was given a designated bear that they will bring along for every competition this season. They stuffed them, gave them a name and heart and promised to bring their bear along for the exciting competition season ahead!! This years organization bear is "SuperGirl". Her name is "Stars". She is a representation of each and every STAR we have this season. After we finished making our bears, we decided it was time to play a little, so we headed to Dave and Busters for a little down time. Check out our picture section for cool pics from our fabulous day!!!!
